Liberty Farm John Adams
MSFGA registration 1734. MGR registration B7718. We picked this guy up as our first double registered buck, and he is a great herd sire for a few reasons. He is from Sol-Orr stock, and the great grandson of Sol-Orr's Renaissance He is very myotonic, which is not always the case with silkies. He is also the most gentle buck I have been around and is very easy going with the family. You can not tell in this pic, since he has rubbed them off his forehead, but he has beautifully puffy full bangs that makes him look like he is wearing a wig. in the pic above(in the header) you can see him in the snow when he was younger with the bangs I am talking about. The bangs are a valued trait that he passes on to his offspring...like the one in the other pic above. We found out early on that he has genetics for moonspots. "What are moonspots?" you might ask. They are patches of hair that change color over the entire course of the goats life. Depending on the color of the spot, and background this can range from subtle to dramatic effects. He throws a wide range of colors and it is hard to tell about the moonspots till you watch how they develop. Some of the kids we let go started to develop wonderful moonspot effects before leaving us. It takes a while for them to develop, so it is hard for us to know which kids to retain and which to allow to leave us. He really does produce some amazing kids. We might entertain selling him and keeping a buck he sired as a replacement for him, but the price would be steep because of his genetics and proven history. Unavailable
RAZZMATAZZ
Razzmatazz
Born in a set of quads on 2/9/13 out of B9962 3 Green Acres Onna Hill, and B7718 Liberty Farm John Adams. He was born with marbled blue eyes like the rest of his siblings. He did develop a cute curly horn scur because he was too old to disbud when we tried which can be seen in the pics above. He has already grown a long silky coat like his father, which is still coming in even now. He has a couple of moonspots and is very myotonic. All the genetics to sire some exceptional offspring. We likely will be adding him to our breeding program if hs is still here in the spring. Right now he is one of our current herdsires, so he is unavailable.
Liberty Farm Cocoa Puff
MGR registration B9965 Our main herd sire, Puffy is brown with some white spots and has blue eyes. He is naturally polled and has mini silky genetics in his bloodline. We hit the jackpot when we got this guy to breed our does. He is short, wide, very muscular and extremely myotonic. He also throws kids which develop some fantastic moon spots. The blue eyes and polled genetics help too...lol. Unlike John Adams, he is a bit skittish and only likes us to pet him when we have treats for him. Only showing him here for reference as the sire of a few kids available now. He will likely never leave the farm. NOT for sale at this time.
